[ad_1]

Updated: ABC’s L.A. Law sequel has gone the way of the network’s NYPD Blue sequel. The network has handed on the pilot, headlined by Blair Underwood, reprising his purpose as legal professional Jonathan Rollins in addition to executive manufacturing. There are no ideas for the challenge to be reworked at ABC, but I listen to the concluded pilot is currently being shopped to other outlets.

Like was the case with the revival of Steven Bochco’s iconic NYPD Blue, the followup to Bochco’s acclaimed authorized drama L.A. Law experienced a pretty substantial bar to apparent in order to get to the air. I listen to, very likely for the reason that of the pretty large anticipations, the pilot felt a bit like it tried using much too difficult but those who have witnessed it praised Underwood’s general performance.

In addition to Underwood, the primary series’ Corbin Bernsen also reprised his position as Arnie Becker in the pilot. New collection regulars integrated Hari Nef, Toks Olagundoye, Ian Duff, John Harlan Kim and Juliana Harkavey, and Kacey Rohl.

In the pilot, written by Marc Guggenheim and Ubah Mohamed and directed by Anthony Hemingway, the venerable law business of McKenzie Brackman — now named Becker Rollins — reinvents alone as a litigation firm specializing in only the most significant-profile, boundary-pushing and incendiary conditions.

Underwood, Guggenheim and Mohamed executive manufactured together with Hemingway through Anthony Hemingway Productions and Dayna Bochco and Jesse Bochco via Steven Bochco Productions. 20th Television was the studio.
